Spring is a coming!

According to Wikipedia: Spring is one of the four temperate seasons, the transition period between winter and summer. Spring and "springtime" refer to the season, and broadly to ideas of rebirth, renewal and regrowth. The specific definition of "spring" as a season differs, however, among scientific disciplines such as astronomy and meteorology, and in cultural and human terms.

According to me: Spring is, without a doubt, the most beautiful time of year :)

How quaint...

Heart of Darkness

"I tried to break the spell--the heavy, mute spell of the wilderness--that seemed to draw him to its pitiless breast by the awakening of forgotten and brutal instincts, by the memory of gratified and monstrous passions." - Conrad

Radical, Political or just art?

Graffiti often has a reputation as part of a subculture that rebels against authority, although the considerations of the practitioners often diverge and can relate to a wide range of attitudes. It can express a political practice and can form just one tool in an array of resistance techniques. One early example includes the anarcho-punk band Crass, who conducted a campaign of stenciling anti-war,anarchist, feminist and anti-consumerist messages around the London Underground system during the late 1970s and early 1980s.

The Valley of Death

"Forward, the Light Brigade!"
Was there a man dismay'd?
Not tho' the soldier knew
Someone had blunder'd:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
- The Charge of the Light Brigade (Tennyson)

Sun God

A Solar Deity (also Sun God(dess)) is a deity who represents the sun, or an aspect of it, usually by its perceived power and strength. Solar deities and sun worship can be found through-out most of recorded history in various forms. Hence, many beliefs have formed around this worship, such as the "missing sun" found in many cultures

Cold blooded but not cold hearted

Playful kittens and lazy lemurs

Looking out

Having a hiss fit

Eye of the Tiger

Beauty and the Beast

Tale as old as time
True as it can be
Barely even friends
Then somebody bends
Unexpectedly
Just a little change
Small to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither one prepared

Beauty
And the Beast.

Kettle-holes and canyons

Pothole (or kettle-hole) is also a term for a formation in rivers caused by a whirlpool eroding a hole into rock. The abrasion is mainly caused by the circular motion of small sediments such as small stones in the river. The interiors of potholes tend to be smooth and regular.

To cascade

To pour downward rapidly and in large quantities.

Fungus

A mushroom is the fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus, typically produced above ground on soil or on its food source. Depending on the type, it can be used for cooking, poisoning, healing, hallucinating or dyeing wool or starting fires.
